SNA official wounded in IED blast in Syria’s Jarablus
JARABLUS, Syria (North Press) – A security official of a faction affiliated with the Turkish-backed armed opposition, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), was injured on Monday in an IED explosion in his vehicle in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, northwestern Syria.
Media outlets close to the opposition reported an IED exploded in the vehicle of Walid Mersal, intelligence officer of the police in the town of Ghandoura in the western countryside of Jarablus. The blast resulted in the amputation of one of his limbs and the injury of one person who is speculated to be his driver.
On Oct. 9, two people were killed and three others, including a child, were injured in an IED explosion on the outskirts of the city of Jarablus.
Jarablus has been under the occupation of the Turkish forces and SNA factions since 2016.
