Israel strikes Aleppo airport for 2nd time in three days

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday night, an Israeli airstrike hit the Aleppo International Airport for the second time in three days, putting it out of service.

Syrian state-run SANA news agency cited an unnamed military source as saying that at approximately 11:35 pm, an Israeli airstrike “targeted Aleppo International Airport, causing material damage to the airport and putting it out of service.”

On Thursday, October 12, Israel launched airstrikes against Damascus and Aleppo airports, knocking them out of service. A day after, the Syrian Ministry of Transport said that Aleppo airport would resume its operations on Saturday morning.

Israel repeatedly targets positions in Syria in what appears an effort to curb Iran’s movement in the war-torn country.
