AANES inaugurates a medical oxygen filling plant in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Committee of Raqqa Civil Council, affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), inaugurated, on Sunday, a medical oxygen filling plant, which is the first of its kind in Raqqa, northern Syria, and the largest one in northeastern the country.

In February, the Health Committee announced the initiating of the project for a medical oxygen filling plant in the city, in collaboration with the Basic Services Program funded by the US Agency for International Development, to meet the needs of hospitals and medical facilities.

“The plant is the first of its kind in Raqqa and has two production lines, each one produces six cylinders of oxygen per hour”, Taleb al-Hasan, administrator of the newly established oxygen plant, stated.

He told North Press that the plant fully covers the needs of the public medical sector for free, in addition to supplying the private sector with oxygen at half the market price.

He noted that the plant will cover the industrial sector in case of abundant production.
