Unknown gunmen shoot Asayish member, civilian in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen shot on Wednesday a member of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) and a civilian in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A source within the Asayish in Deir ez-Zor said unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle targeted with machineguns a group of young men standing near their houses in the village of Tayyeb al-Fal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The source told North Press the attack resulted in the injury of the Asayaish member, Aziz al-Mustafa, 28, and a civilian. They were transferred to a field hospital in the village and are currently in “a good health condition,” according to a doctor there.

Earlier, a civilian was shot by unidentified gunmen during a mourning tent in the city of Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
