Global Coalition inspects Asayish headquarters in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The US-led Global Coalition to defeat the Islamic State (ISIS) visited, on Tuesday, a headquarters of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) targeted by Iranian-backed militia and Syrian government forces in the town of Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
On Oct. 2, the government forces and Iranian-backed militia shelled the town of Hajin with several artillery and mortar shells.
A military source in the Asayish in Hajin stated that a patrol of the Global Coalition visited a headquarters of the Asayish in the town.
The source added that the purpose of the visit was to inspect the damage suffered by the headquarters.
During the visit, the Global Coalition’s patrol inspected the site from which the shells were launched in areas west of the Euphrates, under the control of the government forces.
