Young man killed in prisons of SNA in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A young man was killed on Saturday under torture in a prison of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), north Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria.

A source of the Military Police, affiliated with the SNA, told North Press that Ibrahim Jamlo, 32, who was arrested on charges of collaboration with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), was killed due to repeated electric shocks while investigating him.

Jamlo was arrested by the SNA after he was deported from Turkey in June although he was outside Syria for years.

Sere Kaniye has been under the occupation of the Turkish forces and has been controlled by the SNA factions since 2019 following the so-called “Peace Spring” military operation that aimed to push away the SDF under the pretext of protecting the Turkish national security.
