Government announces downing three drones in Aleppo, Latakia

LATAKIA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday shooting down three drones in the countryside of Aleppo and Latakia, as well as killing militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) through artillery shelling against their posts.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement published on its Facebook page: “Armed terrorist organizations continue their attacks on civilians and army points in the countryside of Aleppo, Latakia, and Idlib. The latest attack was carried out using a number of drones, but our forces managed to down two drones in the northern countryside of Latakia and one in the western countryside of Aleppo.”

It added that Syrian government forces also shelled with artillery HTS posts in the same areas, killing and injuring a number of members belonging to HTS and other armed factions, of them was a militant known as Abu Marwan Azzo.

In addition, a four-wheel drive vehicle, along with the individuals inside it, was destroyed in the western countryside of Aleppo, according to their statement.
