Syrian government raises price of fuel, household gas
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press)— The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection of the Syrian government raised on Tuesday the price of fuel and household gas cylinders for the private sector for those have no Subsidy Card.
The ministry has set the price of a ton of fuel at 8.9 million Syrian pounds (SYP), an increase from the previous price of 4.45 million SYP.
In addition, it has specified the price for an unsubsidized household gas cylinder between 25,000 and 75,000 SYP, while industrial gas cylinders have been priced at 150,000 SYP.
The ministry clarified that the price of subsidized gas cylinders remains unchanged at 15,000 SYP.
