Man killed, 2 children wounded in remnant of war blasts in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A man was killed and two children were injured on Tuesday in two separate explosions of remnants of war in the countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.
A local source said Tariq Abdurrahman al-Zaher was killed in a landmine explosion on the outskirts of the town of Kherbet Ghazala in the northeast of Daraa.
The sources added that al-Zaher was taken to the Public Hospital in the city of Daraa but died before arriving there.
In a related context, a local source told North Press two children, Muhammad Madin al-Farwan and Ziyad Madin al-Farwan, sustained mild injuries as a result of the explosion of a foreign object they played with on the outskirts of the town of Inkhil in the north of Daraa.
The children were wounded in the limbs and face and were taken to Daraa Public Hospital for treatment, the source added.
On Sep. 9, a woman and her son lost their lives in a remnant of war explosion while working in a farmland near the city of Jassem in the north of Daraa.
