Turkey sends military reinforcements to NW Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces sent on Friday a military convoy included military and logistical equipment to the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria.
A military source of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) told North Press that a Turkish military convoy consists of 25 military and logistical vehicles entered Kafr Lossin crossing with Turkey and headed towards Turkish military posts in the city of Jisr al-Shughur, west of Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria.
The convoy included 15 vehicles and three trucks loaded with ammunition and logistical equipment. The purpose of this reinforcements is to support the Turkish posts near frontlines with Syrian government forces south Idlib.
On Sept. 21, the Turkish forces deployed military reinforcements into Syrian territory through the Tal Abyad border crossing towards the areas of Ain Issa and Khifyah Salim in northern Raqqa.
