Four HTS members injured in armed attack in northern Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front), causing four injuries, in the village of Batbo, northern Idlib, northwestern Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that unidentified gunmen targeted a military vehicle of HTS with machineguns on the road linking Batbo and Kafr Nasih villages, northern Idlib.

The source added that injured were taken to a hospital in the city of al-Dana, northern Idlib.

HTS blocked the roads leading to the scene and prevented anyone from approaching the place, with the aim of identifying the perpetrators.

This month has witnessed five similar attacks against HTS’ checkpoints, without any group or party claiming responsibility for these incidents.
