SNA arrests, injures civilians in Syria’s Tel Abyad

TEL ABYAD, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), injured on Wednesday two people and arrested 13 others while a raid campaign in a town in the countryside of the city of Tel Abyad, northern Syria.

Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, affiliated with the SNA, raided civilians’ houses in the town of Hamam al-Turkman, south of Tel Abyad, under the pretense of searching for individuals charged of espionage to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an exclusive source informed North Press.

The source added that militants of the aforementioned faction opened fire indiscriminately to intimidate residents, resulting in the injury of a man and a woman. The incident outraged the Turkmen people in the town.

The source said that the campaign resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals on charges of espionage to the SDF. They were transferred to a prison in Tel Abyad.
