HTS arrests 3 SNA militants, injure another in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – One militant of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), was injured and three others were arrested on Tuesday by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) in Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria, on charges of dealing with external parties and compromising security.

An exclusive source told North Press that “the General Security Service, affiliated with the HTS, raided a headquarters of the Sham Legion (Faylaq al-Sham), which is part of the SNA, near the town of Hazano. One militant was injured while attempting to escape, and three others were arrested.”

The source added that the arrests were made on charges of collaborating with external parties by providing information and carrying out plans against the activities of the HTS.

The source also mentioned that the Sham Legion’s leadership contacted the leadership of the GSS to inquire about the reasons for the arrests and demanded the release of the detained militants. However, they were not provided with a response, and the authorities stated that the arrests were made for “security reasons.”
