Turkish forces shell inhabited villages in Syria’s Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled on Saturday inhabited villages in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.

The Civil Democratic Administration of Manbij and its Countryside, affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), condemned the Turkish attacks on the city and its countryside, which led to the killing of civilians.

As a result of the Turkish bombardment, clashes erupted in the northern countryside of Manbij in the villages of Tel al-Rafi, al-Dandaliya, and al-Buyahj and the northwestern countryside.

A field source told North Press that the SNA factions shelled villages in the northern countryside of Manbij in tandem with clashes in those villages.

The Media Center of the Manbij Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stated on its official website that Turkish forces and the SNA factions shell the inhabited village of al-Dandaniyah with mortar shells and artillery from the its post in the village of Karbajli.
