Turkish forces shell village in Syria’s Hasakah
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – Turkish Forces targeted on Friday a village in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
A military source told North Press, “Turkish forces targeted with heavy artillery the village of al-Gozaliya in the western countryside of Tel Tamr causing material damage in the properties of the locals, without reporting human casualties.”
Tel Tamr, which has a population of about 25,000 and is 30 km away from the Syrian-Turkish border, is of strategic importance as it is a junction on the M4 Highway linking Hasakah to Aleppo governorate in the northwest.
