AANES launches 1st Literary Festival in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Cultural Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) launched on Monday the first Literary Festival, which took place at the Cultural Center in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.

Murhaf Fahed, Co-chair of the Cultural Board, told North Press that the festival includes various cultural and literary activities such as poetry, short stories, and novels.

Fahed added that this festival aims to develop literature and culture, and it seeks to gather all writers from different regions in north and east Syria, attempting to blend and integrate cultures.

The festival is scheduled to continue for three days, with the first day dedicated to poetry, the second day to short stories, and the third day to novels.

A group of writers and intellectuals from northern and eastern Syria have participated in this festival, according to Fahed.
