Israeli airstrikes hit Aleppo International Airport
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Syrian media outlets said on Monday that Israeli airstrikes targeted Aleppo International Airport in northwest Syria, putting it out of service.
The state-run SANA news agency reported citing a military source as saying, “The Israeli enemy conducted an aerial aggression on Monday at dawn on the Aleppo International Airport, putting it out of service.”
The source noted that at around 04:30 am on Monday, Israel carried out an airstrike launched from the direction of the Mediterranean west of Latakia Governorate towards Aleppo Airport.
The Israeli airstrike caused material damages in the airstrip and put it out of service, the source revealed.
The airstrike came a week after Israeli forces launched airstrikes on the vicinity of Damascus, leading to the injury of a Syrian soldier and material damages.
