IED blast in Syria’s Quneitra leaves casualties among government forces
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – A soldier of the Syrian government forces was killed and another was injured on Wednesday as a result of the explosion of an IED in Quneitra Governorate in southwestern Syria.
A local source told North Press that a soldier of the government forces was killed and another was injured after a military checkpoint in the countryside of Quneitra was targeted with an IED.
The explosion took place in an area near the border with Golan Heights.
After the incident, the government forces deployed in the targeted area, and anti-aircraft vehicles have arrived in, the source concluded.
