Government “forces” Jubur tribe in Syria’s Hasakah to declare war

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Akram Mahshoush, notable in Jubur tribe, in Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria, said on Wednesday that the Syrian government forces the tribe to declare war due to renouncing a tribe for a guilty person.

Mahshoush told North Press that a number of tribes declared solidarity with Jubur tribe. “We received reinforcements that make us ready for a full-scale fight against the government forces and its affiliated National Defense Forces (NDF).

Earlier today, al-Baggarah tribe, sent reinforcements from Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, for backing Jubur against the government-affiliated NDF.

On August 13, Abdulqader Hamo, the NDF leader, physically assaulted Sheikh Abdulaziz Muhammad al-Meslet, a leader in the tribe, and his nephew, enraging the tribe’s members who later took to the streets in Hasakah and attacked NDF headquarters demanding the government hand Hamo over.
