IED blast causes casualties among SNA faction in Syria’s al-Bab

AL-BAB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday night, two militants of Sultan Murad faction affiliated with Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), were killed, and two others were injured in an IED blast in the countryside Aleppo Governorate, northern Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that an IED exploded in one of the faction’s military vehicles when changing shifts near their checkpoint in the city of al-Bab, east of Aleppo, killing two militants and severely wounding two others.

The vicinity of the region witnessed a high alert status by the faction, along with blocking roads and inspecting cars.

The city of al-Bab has been under the control of Turkey and its SNA factions since 2017.

The SNA held-areas continue to witness security chaos with many clashes and recurrent explosions amid the inability of the factions to maintain order.
