ISIS claims attack on SDF vehicle in southern Hasakah

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack on a military vehicle belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a village in southern Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

This morning, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) reported that two of their personnel were injured in an attack on their vehicle on the road linking the city of Hasakah and the town of Hawl, in east of the city.

ISIS-linked Amaq agency released a statement saying that ISIS operatives detonated an IED with an SDF vehicle on the Hawl route on Saturday.

The statement claimed that the explosion resulted in killing two SDF members and completely destroying the vehicle.

ISIS has recently stepped up attacks against SDF outposts in spite of the repeated anti-ISIS campaigns launched by the SDF with the support of the US-led Global Coalition.
