US-led Coalition denies any attack on base in Deir ez-Zor

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A source from the US-led Global Coalition denied on Saturday any attacks against their troops in Conoco gas field, in Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

Earlier today, many media outlets reported that several rockets targeted the Coalition’s base in the Conoco gas field.

“Nothing has happened at Conoco today. Not even a training event with demolition,” the source told North Press.

On August 4, an explosion occurred in the town of Shaddadi, in southern Hasakah, which raised speculations about an attack against the Coalition’s base in the town.

The source dismissed allegations about such an attack.

“The explosion at Shaddadi was also not an attack, it was a result of faulty ammunition that was confiscated during security operations conducted by the SDF and there were no injuries,” the source added.

“None of the stories of attacks are true and it is deeply concerning,” the source concluded.
