Local group in Suwayda arrests six government soldiers
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – A local group in Suwayda city, southern Syria, detained on Thursday six Syrian government soldiers over arresting a 60-year-old civilian from Suwayda in Damascus.
A local source told North Press that the local group from al-A’awars clan detained six members of Syrian government forces to press government authorities to release the 60-year-old man.
The source said that the man had been detained extra judicially in Damascus on Sunday, as he did not receive any charges or had a trial.
During July, the source said, 25 Syrian government soldiers were detained for similar reasons.
