SDF conducts operation against Turkish-backed SNA in Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Wednesday the execution of an operation against Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), in Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria, in response to the targeting of its fighters by Turkish drones.
The SDF Media Center stated that they carried out the operation against one of the faction’s positions in the village of Arisha, between the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and the town of Tel Tamr, northern Hasakah.
The operation, which was conducted on Tuesday, came in response to a Turkish drone attack of the SDF fighters on August 3, resulting in the loss of four fighters’ lives and the injury of two others, according to a previous statement.
The SDF stated that six militants of the factions were killed in the operation.
A fighter of the SDF-affiliated Tel Tamr Military Council was killed, according to the source.
