Government shelling targets countryside of Aleppo, Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government forces shelled on Sunday villages and towns in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib in northwestern Syria. Meanwhile, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) claimed killing four Syrian government soldiers in a shelling against Latakia countryside.
A military source informed North Press that the Syrian government forces, stationed in the northern countryside of Latakia, shelled the towns of al-Bara, Kansafra, Fatterah, Fleifel, and Sfuhen in Zawiya Mountain (Jabal al-Zawiya) in southern Idlib, causing material damage.
In the same context, the Syrian government targeted the entrance of the town of Najiyeh, in western Idlib, by a guided missile, causing injuries of varying severity to a shepherd. He was rushed to Jisr al-Shughur hospital.
HTS, through its sources, claimed it killed four government soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel in an attack on Mount Nabi Younes, northern Latakia.
On Saturday, three civilians were killed and six others were injured in Russian airstrikes targeting the western outskirts of Idlib city, northwest Syria.
