Three civilians killed in Russian airstrikes in Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Three civilians were killed and six others were injured on Saturday in Russian airstrikes targeting the western outskirts of Idlib city, northwest Syria.

A local source told North Press that Russian fighter jets carried out six airstrikes in the afternoon, targeting several positions on the Martein-Deir Shieb road west of Idlib. The attacks killed three civilians from one family and injured six others.

Meanwhile, specialized teams managed to rescue a woman and two young men from under the rubble of one of the targeted houses.

The injured were transported to Idlib University Hospital, while Russian fighter jets continued to hover over the area, according to the source.

On June 25, 10 people were killed and 65 others were injured in an airstrike that targeted the a popular marketplace in Jisr al-Shughur city, southwestern Idlib.
