Five civilians injured in shelling between HTS, government forces
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Five civilians were injured in Idlib and one in Aleppo, in northwestern Syria, in mutual shelling between the Syrian government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
An informed source told North Press that the government forces launched an artillery and rocket shelling against positions of the HTS in the southern vicinity of Maarbalit and al-Bara, in southern Idlib, causing four injuries.
The source also said that the government forces also targeted with rockets positions in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, including the towns of al-Nayrab and Sarmin, injuring a civilian and damaging houses. They also struck the vicinity Kafr Nouran village and al-Atarib, in western Aleppo, but no injuries were reported.
The stated that HTS shelled back positions of the Syrian government forces in Base 46 and Urem al-Kubra in the western countryside of Aleppo, as well as Kafr Nabl and Saraqib in eastern Idlib. However, there is no information available on the extent of losses sustained by the Syrian government forces or civilians.
