Suspected drug trader killed in Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A man was killed on Sunday by unidentified gunmen in Daraa city, southern Syria. He was accused of being involved in drug trade in the region.

A local source told North Press that “Muhammad Qassim al-Musallamah was killed as a result of being targeted by unknown gunmen while he was in Daraa al-Balad, in Daraa city.”

The source added, “Al-Musallamah is accused of working in the drug trade and promoting it in the area.”

The source pointed out that the unidentified gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle, fled after carrying out the attack.

In mid-May of last year, unknown individuals distributed leaflets threatening drug dealers and promoters in the Daraa al-Balad with accountability if they did not stop their activities.
