ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – On Saturday, the Iraqi forces announced the arrest of eight suspects belonging to Islamic State (ISIS) in three provinces across the country.
The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate said in a statement that the eight individuals were arrested in different areas of Baghdad, Anbar, and Kirkuk.
The security operations were carried out separately and based on intelligence information, and were conducted through the setting up of “effective ambushes,” according to the statement.
On June 18, the Iraqi Security Media Cell (SMC) announced the arrest of a senior ISIS leader.
