Two civilians killed in Russian airstrikes against NW Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Two civilians were killed on Saturday in Russian airstrikes on settlements in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur in western Idlib, northwest Syria.
This afternoon, Russian warplanes renewed their airstrikes on the Idlib countryside, for the second time in less than 24 hours, after targeting sites in Latakia countryside near the Syrian-Turkish border yesterday evening.
Local sources told North Press that two civilians lost their lives in Russian airstrikes that targeted residential homes in the village of Bsbeit in the Bidama sub-district in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughur.
The sources said that the victims were Abdo Mustafa Sino and Osama Mustafa Sino, and that their bodies were found by opposition’s civil defense teams, aka the White Helmets, an hour after the area was attacked. They were then handed over to their families.
The sources also pointed out that the targeted spot is a residential area located near Turkish posts at the towns of Bidama and Maraand in western Idlib.
