{"id":98887,"date":"2023-06-01T15:56:01","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T15:56:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=98887"},"modified":"2023-06-01T15:56:02","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T15:56:02","slug":"hts-to-hand-over-foreign-fighters-to-turkish-intelligence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/98887\/","title":{"rendered":"HTS to hand over foreign fighters to Turkish intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IDLIB, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly known as al-Nusra Front) transferred four foreign detainees, one of whom is of French nationality, from Prison 107 in Idlib city to the Bab al-Hawa border crossing in northern Idlib on Thursday, in preparation for handing them over to Turkish intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A security source told North Press, \u201cThe leadership of HTS\u2019 General Security Apparatus, represented by Abu Maria al-Qahtani, has issued orders to transfer the detainees to the security office at the Bab al-Hawa crossing under tight security escort. They will be handed over to the Turkish intelligence during the upcoming night hours.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source added that the names of the detainees were sent from the Turkish side, including Abu Bilal al-Faransi, a member of the militia of Ghuraba al-Sham Front that includes French fighters. He was arrested by HTS about two years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This operation is the fifth of its kind in 2023. HTS\u2019 prisons contain dozens of foreign militants whom Ankara wishes to receive, without knowing the purpose behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hani
