ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>A number of activists organized a vigil on Wednesday in the city of Erbil, in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), denouncing a crime of killing four Kurdish civilians in Jindires, the countryside of Afrin, northwest Syria.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protesters raised the photos of the victims and called for stopping indiscriminate killing of the Kurds and ending the Turkish occupation of Afrin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 20, Ahrar al-Sharqiya, a faction affiliated with the SNA, killed four Kurds<\/a> and injured others in Jindires while celebrating Newroz, a Kurdish national day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muhammad al-khayat, activist and head of Peace and Coexistence Association, said, in a statement, that the Kurds in the KRI denounce the crime that the SNA factions committed against “our Kurdish brothers” in Jindires.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Khayat called on Global Coalition and the UN to stop injustice that befell on Afrin and end its occupation by the SNA factions that commit crimes against Kurdish civilians in Jindires and Afrin in general.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“People of KRI offer condolences for the families of the victims in Jindires and hope speed recovery for those who were injured,” according to the statement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
