{"id":94933,"date":"2023-03-18T11:28:08","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T11:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=94933"},"modified":"2023-03-18T11:28:09","modified_gmt":"2023-03-18T11:28:09","slug":"aanes-beefs-up-security-for-newroz-festivals-across-ne-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/94933\/","title":{"rendered":"AANES beefs up security for Newroz festivals across NE Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RAQQA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Saturday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) issued a number of security measures set to be implemented before the Newroz festivities on March 21.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AANES, based on the circular issued, has banned trucks and motorbikes from circulating between March 19 and 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The circular also stops the entry of people and goods into northeast Syria during the same period, as well as banning fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, the AANES, at its headquarters in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria, ignited the symbolic flame of Newroz and revealed, in a statement, the festival&#8217;s program across northern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kurdish celebration of Newroz represents the arrival of spring and a new year in Kurdish culture.
