{"id":94701,"date":"2023-03-14T14:01:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T14:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=94701"},"modified":"2023-03-14T14:01:48","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T14:01:48","slug":"aanes-in-manbij-requires-earthquake-resistant-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/94701\/","title":{"rendered":"AANES in Manbij requires earthquake-resistant construction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>The Municipal Committee of Manbij, affiliated with Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), issued a decision on Tuesday outlining new stipulations for earthquake-resistant construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision prevents granting any building permits unless they fulfill the Syrian code requirements for earthquake resistance.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It further stipulates that all licenses granted should be resubmitted to the Engineering Union to be re-evaluated against the Syrian code for earthquake resistance, at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If any building is constructed without the permission of a resident engineer, the permit will be suspended until the violation is addressed, the decision indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The responsibility for building control management and the implementation of engineering plans on the ground rests with the sector engineer.
