{"id":92507,"date":"2023-02-09T08:31:56","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T08:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=92507"},"modified":"2023-02-09T08:31:58","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T08:31:58","slug":"after-three-days-of-earthquake-northwest-syria-received-no-aid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/92507\/","title":{"rendered":"After three days of earthquake northwest Syria received no aid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IDLIB, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Humanitarian aid has not reached northwest Syria, which is under the control of Turkey and the Syrian opposition, even though 80 hours passed following the deadly earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The death toll for the earthquake that struck Syria on February 6 has risen to more than 3.583 people and more than 6.342 injured in a provisional count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to media and local sources in northwest Syria, so far, no aid has reached devastated areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hundreds of families are still trapped under the rubble as rescue teams face difficulties among collapsed buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday, an Egyptian volunteer technical team arrived in the town of Jindires, 20 km west of the Kurdish city of Afrin to help rescue trapped survivors, which is a drop in the bucket compared to what the devastated regions need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The massive earthquake happened at a time Syria experiences freezing winter temperatures, which aggravated the already terrible conditions of survivors staying in the open spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Mo&#8217;ayed al-Sheikh<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IDLIB, Syria (North Press) \u2013 Humanitarian aid has not reached northwest Syria, which is under the control of Turkey and the Syrian opposition, even though 80 hours passed following the deadly earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey.
