{"id":90591,"date":"2023-01-11T11:27:57","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T11:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=90591"},"modified":"2023-01-11T11:27:59","modified_gmt":"2023-01-11T11:27:59","slug":"clashes-between-syrian-forces-hts-in-aleppo-result-in-casualties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/90591\/","title":{"rendered":"Clashes Between Syrian Forces, HTS in Aleppo result in casualties"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IDLIB, Syria (North Press) &#8211; <\/strong>Twelve individuals were killed and wounded in the western countryside of Aleppo in clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra front) on Wednesday at dawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A military source told North Press that seven soldiers of the government forces were wounded and killed, and five HTS militants were wounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The clashes took place in tandem with mutual artillery shelling and flight by Russian aircrafts over the region, according to the source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Military sources of al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations&#8217; Room, led by the HTS, said the clashes occurred in Kafr Taal and Base 46 west of Aleppo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HTS combat forces advanced towards the government forces&#8217; positions, triggering fierce clashes, the sources added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These clashes came at a time where there are efforts towards Syrian-Turkish normalization that spread resentment among people in the opposition-held areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Tuesday, two military sources affiliated with HTS revealed that the group <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/90552\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">carried out an infiltration operation<\/a> against Syrian government forces under the slogan &#8220;We will not reconcile&#8221; \u2013 in response to recent normalization efforts between Ankara and Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A week earlier, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, HTS\u2019 leader, described the normalization as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/90038\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201ca reward for the Syrian regime.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hani Salem<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IDLIB, Syria (North Press) &#8211; Twelve individuals were killed and wounded in the western countryside of Aleppo in clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra front) on Wednesday at dawn.
