Aviv Kohavi said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran tried to \u201cdeploy hundreds of surface-to-surface missiles in Syria alongside tens of thousands of Shia militiamen,\u201d Kohavi said at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will visit Syria soon and he will see that there is \u201ca lot less weaponry and fewer bases and forces,\u201d that happened due to Israel\u2019s \u201cwar between wars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWar between wars\u201d is the IDF\u2019s name for the covert military campaign that has been waging against Iranian efforts to entrench itself in Syria for ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel has repeatedly hit Iranian targets in Syria, including weapons\u2019 depots and military posts, to foil Iran\u2019s attempts to smuggle weapon to ally Hezbollah and to cripple the Islamic country\u2019s activity in the war-torn country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IDF will be ready to attack Iranian nuclear program once it get the green light to act, as Israel is carrying out at least one operation against Iran per week somewhere throughout the Middle East, according to Kohavi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Dec. 20, a number of soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed and wounded in <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/89256\/\">Israeli airstrikes<\/a>, targeting a site in Rif Dimashq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTwo unidentified gunmen, likely to belong to Lebanese Hezbollah, were killed due to the Israeli attacks near Damascus International Airport,\u201d Syrian Observatory for Human Right (SOHR) reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Hezbollah warehouse, containing weapons and logistic materials in a farm located between Saida Zainab and al-Bajdaliyah, were targeted and destroyed completely during the airstrikes, as well as casualties were reported in the site, SOHR reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Emma Jamal<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) disrupted the formation of \u201ca second Hezbollah\u201d in Syria by Iran, as the latter tried to deploy hundreds of missiles in Syria, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen.
