{"id":82720,"date":"2022-08-26T12:23:42","date_gmt":"2022-08-26T12:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=82720"},"modified":"2022-08-26T12:23:43","modified_gmt":"2022-08-26T12:23:43","slug":"asayish-arrest-27-isis-members-in-syrias-hawl-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/82720\/","title":{"rendered":"Asayish arrest 27 ISIS members in Syria&#8217;s Hawl Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Friday, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) arrested 27 members of sleeper cells of Islamic State (ISIS) in Hawl Camp, northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This came during the &#8220;Humanity and Security&#8221; operation launched by the Asayish on Thursday to pursue ISIS sleeper cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a brief statement posted on its official Facebook account on Friday, the Asayish announced the arrest of 27 members of ISIS cells in the first sector of the Hawl Camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement said that the inspection campaign in the first sector continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier on Friday, the Asayish found four trenches which were used by ISIS members to hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The &#8220;Humanity and Security&#8221; operation in Hawl Camp was launched after the increase in the rate of crimes committed inside the camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday, the Asayish announced launching the second phase of the Operation \u201cHumanity and Security\u201d at Hawl Camp to pursue ISIS sleeper cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first phase started in 2021 in response to calls of community and tribal leaders in Hawl countryside to reduce crimes at the camp.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hawl Camp, 45 km east of the city of Hasakah, is a house for 55.829 individuals, including 28.725 Iraqis, 18.850 Syrians and 8.254 of foreign nationalities, according to the latest statistics obtained by North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The camp witnesses murders with different methods, most notably firearms.
