ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – <\/strong>A Turkish drone targeted a site opposite of a hospital in the town of Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo, but only material losses were reported,a military source told North Press on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source added that the drone fell down on lands surrounding the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, more than 125 Turkish artillery shells targeted villages of Aleppo northern countryside. Also, the center of Tel Rifaat was hit with about 15<\/a> shells and its outskirts with about four shells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result six individuals were wounded, according to eyewitnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lately, Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), have escalated their shelling of villages in Aleppo northern countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkey has escalated its attacks on areas in north and northeast Syria, using artillery and drones following Tehran Summit, in which Turkey failed to obtain a green light by Iran and Russia to invade the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkey\u2019s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recently announced plans to carry out another major military cross-border incursion into northern Syria. Erdogan specified his targets in the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 1, Erdogan said that Ankara\u2019s new military operation in northern Syria could begin at any moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe time has come to clear these lands from the terrorist organizations,\u201d Erdogan threatened during Tehran Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tehran Summit, on July 19, brought together presidents of each of Iran, Russia and Turkey with the Syrian issue and Turkish threats on the top of its agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
