{"id":77636,"date":"2022-05-14T08:56:18","date_gmt":"2022-05-14T08:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=77636"},"modified":"2022-05-14T08:56:18","modified_gmt":"2022-05-14T08:56:18","slug":"sdf-appreciates-us-license-to-exempt-ne-syria-from-sanctions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/77636\/","title":{"rendered":"SDF appreciates US license to exempt NE Syria from sanctions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) &#8211; <\/strong>Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi welcomed on Friday the US decision to exempt areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) from Caesar Act sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The US Department of the Treasury issued a general license authorizing activities in northeast and northwest Syria in 12 sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a tweet, Abdi said, \u201cWe appreciate the US General License for #AANES areas. We welcome all companies to invest here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abdi noted to the importance of the exemption saying that it will \u201crebuild infrastructure and support our economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA step that will counter ISIS and give hope to all Syrians,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SDF Commander-in-Chief called on both local and international companied to start investments in the AANES-held areas which is a step towards stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/77592\/\">US general license<\/a>, the exemption covers areas in both northeast and northwest Syria except for Afrin and Idlib.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will include the sectors of agriculture, information and telecommunications, power grid infrastructure, construction, finance, clean energy, transportation and warehousing, water and waste management, health services, education, manufacturing, and trade.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Adnan Hamo&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) &#8211; Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi welcomed on Friday the US decision to exempt areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) from Caesar Act sanctions.
