{"id":72626,"date":"2022-02-12T21:28:48","date_gmt":"2022-02-12T21:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=72626"},"modified":"2022-02-12T21:28:48","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T21:28:48","slug":"national-defense-member-killed-by-government-forces-in-syrias-deir-ez-zor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/72626\/","title":{"rendered":"National Defense member killed by government forces in Syria\u2019s Deir ez-Zor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press)<\/strong> &#8211; A member of the&nbsp;National Defence Forces&nbsp;(NDF), a pro-government faction, was killed on Saturday by government forces, as a result of a quarrel between the two parties at the backdrop of the killing of a leader in the National Defense by government forces two days ago in a town west of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A group of the NDF kidnapped the police chief of the al-Kharita police station, west of Deir ez-Zor, at the backdrop of the killing of a leader in the National Defense two days ago,&#8221; a military source from the government forces in the town of al-Kharita, 25 km west of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The members of the National Defense re-targeted a convoy of a leader in the security forces of the government forces. A 30-minute clash took place between the two sides, resulting in the injury of a member of each side,&#8221; the source added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the incident, the town witnessed great tension. However, the dispute ended after the intervention of Muhanna al-Fayyad, the sheikh of&nbsp; al-Busaraya tribe, and Firas al-Iraqi, a leader in the National Defense, after pledging the release of the captured officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Large areas of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor are run by the pro-Iranian factions and the government forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two days ago, a leader in the National Defense was deadly shot by government forces, as a result of an argument that turned into \u00a0a clash in the town of al-Dablan in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reporting-omar-abdulrahman\"><strong>Reporting Omar Abdulrahman<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dispute between the National Defense loyal to the government forces and the government forces kills  a member of the National Defense in #Syria\u2019s #Deir ez-Zor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":72627,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-72626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
