{"id":72598,"date":"2022-02-12T15:17:20","date_gmt":"2022-02-12T15:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=72598"},"modified":"2022-02-12T15:17:20","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T15:17:20","slug":"two-former-opposition-members-killed-in-syrias-daraa-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/72598\/","title":{"rendered":"Two former opposition members killed in Syria\u2019s Daraa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DARAA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Saturday, two opposition members were deadly shot by unknown gunmen in the city of Tafas in the west countryside of Syria\u2019s Daraa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mohamed al-Zu\u2019bi and Ibrahim al-Zu\u2019bi were deadly shot while being present in the square of the public market, a source in the city told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cThe two young men did not join the Syrian government forces following the settlement process in 2018 when the government forces reclaimed Daraa governorate,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same context, one person, said to be a civilian, was killed by unknown gunmen in the west countryside of Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Murad Mubarak al-Natoor, was deadly shot as unknown armed persons riding a motorcycle fired directly at him on the outskirts of Masaken Galin town in the west countryside of Daraa, according to a local source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">al-Natoor was a civilian man who worked as a frmer and had never joined any military faction. He was transported to Tafas city and died of his wounds later, the source said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/72484\/\">Mos\u2019ab al-Bardan<\/a>, an opponent figure and also a member of the Central Committee tasked to negotiate with the Syrian government in Daraa, died of his wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday, unknown gunmen targeted al-Bardan and two of his escorts in Atman town in the central countryside of Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Martyr Documentation Office, a local non-governmental organization that follows up the statistics of casualties and detainees in Daraa, documented 1,084 killing attempts in which 685 people, whether civilians, former fighters of the Syrian armed opposition factions who had settled their status or fighters of the Syrian government forces between the summer of 2018 and last September, were killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the second settlement process in October 2021, the Martyr Documentation Office has documented 55 killing attempts that claimed the lives of 38 persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reporting-by-mu-ayed-al-ashqar\"><strong>Reporting by Mu\u2019ayed al-Ashqar<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two former members of the opposition factions were killed in #Syria\u2019s #Daraa. #SNA <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":72599,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-72598","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
