{"id":71405,"date":"2022-01-26T10:44:38","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T10:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=71405"},"modified":"2022-01-26T10:44:41","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T10:44:41","slug":"government-forces-evacuate-military-posts-in-villages-in-syrias-raqqa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/71405\/","title":{"rendered":"Government forces evacuate military posts in villages in Syria\u2019s Raqqa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RAQQA, Syria (North Press)<\/strong> \u2013 On Tuesday, the Syrian government forces evacuated their military posts in seven villages in the southwestern countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The military points that were vacated by the government forces are located in Resafa Desert, about 65 km southwest of Raqqa, a local source of the southern countryside of al-Mansura told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emptying seven villages of the government forces came in tandem with al-Sina\u2019a prison incidents, raising residents&#8217; concern about any movements of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) sleeper cells in the area, the source added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the past few years, ISIS sleeper cells have repeatedly attacked government forces&#8217; points in Resafa Desert, south of al-Mansura town, often followed by Russian airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source&nbsp; of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said they have tightened the military measures on borders of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES)-held areas in the southwestern countryside of Raqqa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/71366\/\">Preventive measures<\/a> were taken by the SDF in the vicinity of Raqqa, the Director of the Media Center of SDF, Farhad Shami, announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shami believed that the withdrawal of government forces comes in tandem with ISIS attack on al-Sina\u2019a prison in Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe reasons behind the eviction are doubtful, so forces have taken precautionary measures to prevent ISIS from benefiting from these evictions and posing a threat to the vicinity of Raqqa,\u201d Shami added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Ammar Abdullatif<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAQQA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 On Tuesday, the Syrian government forces evacuated their military posts in seven villages in the southwestern countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria.
