{"id":71071,"date":"2022-01-21T13:17:29","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T13:17:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=71071"},"modified":"2022-01-21T13:17:35","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T13:17:35","slug":"asayish-imposes-total-curfew-on-syrias-hasakah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/71071\/","title":{"rendered":"Asayish imposes total curfew on Syria&#8217;s Hasakah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Friday, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) imposed a total curfew on the city of Hasakah, and blocked of entry and exit to the city against the backdrop of security developments in al-Sina&#8217;a prison, which houses members of the Islamic State (ISIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement said the closure will continue until further notice, due to the recent events in the city of Hasakah of the attack of ISIS cells on al-Sina&#8217;a prison in an attempt to secure the escape of ISIS inmates. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was accompanied by a threat to the security and safety of all neighborhoods of the city, with cells trying to hide among civilians, according to the statement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, the SDF imposed a security cordon on the vicinity of al-Sina\u2019a prison, against the backdrop of a riot carried out by ISIS sleeper cells, coinciding with three explosions near the prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intermittent clashes took place in the vicinity of the prison and on the outskirts of al-Zohour neighborhood, south Hasakah, after ISIS members fled to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ongoing clashes between the SDF and ISIS sleeper cells caused a mass exodus of the residents of the neighborhoods of Ghuweiran, al-Nashwa, Villat Hawsh al-Ba\u2019er, and Villat al-Hamr, to the central and northern neighborhoods of Hasakah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today the SDF arrested about 110 ISIS inmates, who had managed to escape from al-Sina\u2019a prison in the Ghuweiran neighborhood of Hasakah city, northeast Syria. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SDF managed to pull two bodies of ISIS members who were killed during the clashes in the vicinity of al-Sina\u2019a prison and the nearby neighborhoods, one of them was of Asian nationality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Jindar Abdulqader<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013 On Friday, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) imposed a total curfew on the city of Hasakah, and blocked of entry and exit to the city against the backdrop of security developments in al-Sina&#8217;a prison, which houses members of the Islamic State [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":71072,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[39,7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-71071","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-home","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
