{"id":70541,"date":"2022-01-10T16:45:48","date_gmt":"2022-01-10T16:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=70541"},"modified":"2022-01-10T16:45:55","modified_gmt":"2022-01-10T16:45:55","slug":"international-conference-of-religions-and-beliefs-of-mesopotamia-kicks-off-in-syrias-qamishli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/70541\/","title":{"rendered":"International Conference of Religions and Beliefs of Mesopotamia kicks off in Syria\u2019s Qamishli"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>Under the slogan &#8220;Together we spread peace&#8221; the International Conference of Religions and Beliefs of Mesopotamia kicked off in Syria\u2019s northeastern city of Qamishlion Monday. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The preparatory committee invited several religious and intellectual figures and community influential holders from Europe, Egypt, Morocco, Kurdistan Region of Iraq as well as religious figures from Syria to attend the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the first day of the conference, letters directed to the conference and speeches of attendees were read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other participants abroad, who could not attend for different reasons, also spoke during the conference.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first session of the conference was titled \u201cThe issues that preclude religion to be a basis for peaceful coexistence&#8221;. Member of the National Council for Combating Terrorism and Extremism in Egypt Dr. Hani Labib, the Indian activist in social issues and building bridges through religions and races Mileen Dawani, President of the US Committee&nbsp;for&nbsp;International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), Nadine Maenza, and member of the presidential council for the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Foza al-Youssef lectured during the conference. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second session was titled \u201cFactors that led to violations practiced against nations in the name of religion\u201d.
