{"id":69907,"date":"2021-12-28T15:43:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-28T15:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=69907"},"modified":"2021-12-28T15:43:24","modified_gmt":"2021-12-28T15:43:24","slug":"attempts-of-reducing-syrias-assad-powers-leads-nowhere-lavrentiev","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/69907\/","title":{"rendered":"Attempts of reducing Syria\u2019s Assad powers leads nowhere, Lavrentiev"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>If somebody pursues the aim of creating a new Constitution for the sake of changing the powers of the Syrian president [Bashar al-Assad] and thereby trying to change power in Damascus, this road leads nowhere, Russian President\u2019s Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev&nbsp;said yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the opposition really believes that some changes are required, then &#8220;it should put forward some concrete proposals and not indulge in speculations that there can be no changes as long as Bashar Assad is in power,&#8221; Lavrentiev told TASS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stressed that the relation among the guarantor countries [Russia, Turkey and Iran] in Syria is practical and quite strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For its part, the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) made its response, on Tuesday, saying statements of Russia\u2019s special residential envoy for Syria are a rejected intervention in choices of the Syrians and in the track of the political process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Syrian people do not accept anyone to tell them what to do or determine the future of Syria,\u201d the SNC posted on its official Facebook account. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SNC called for an \u201cinternational firm stance regarding this Russian absurdity that threatens the entire political process\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Agencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russian envoy for #Syria said the opposition should put forward that there can be no changes as long as Bashar Assad is in power. #Russia #Turkey <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":69908,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-69907","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
