{"id":68559,"date":"2021-12-01T18:41:37","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T18:41:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=68559"},"modified":"2021-12-01T18:42:11","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T18:42:11","slug":"architectural-construction-group-formed-in-syrias-raqqa-with-us-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/68559\/","title":{"rendered":"Architectural construction group formed in Syria\u2019s Raqqa with US support"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RAQQA, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>A local organization in cooperation with the Contractors Union in Raqqa, northern Syria, and with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) formed yesterday \u201cthe Construction Expertise Group\u201d, to develop the architectural construction sector in northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, the Contractors Union in Raqqa and the Syrian Livelihood Organization, a local organization operates in the area, held a virtual meeting, with the USAID in the city of Raqqa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muhammad Sino, co-chair of the Contractors Union in Raqqa, said the formation of the group came in partnership with the Syrian Livelihoods Organization and with the support of the USAID, to work on the infrastructure in all of northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the contractors presented proposals, recommendations, and opinions regarding the most important projects that should be supported or studied, such as the rehabilitation of bridges, roads, sewage networks, and electricity networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, the USAID has conducted an assessment of the architectural construction sectors in northeastern Syria, in coordination with the Syria Livelihood Organization, to study the reality of this sector and its needs, according to Sino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He told North Press that the USAID found in the stability of northeastern Syria an opportunity to develop the construction sector, and increase the expertise of contractors to encourage the reconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He pointed out that the Construction Expertise Group allows contractors to increase their expertise and develop work to serve the rehabilitation of infrastructure damaged by the war.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Contractors Union is one of the civil society organizations in Raqqa, and a group of associations and unions, that work to link between the laws of the Autonomous Administration, social groups, and economic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sino stated that the USAID will be a direct supervisor of the group&#8217;s work, studying the submitted projects, adopting some of them, and providing the necessary financial support to complete them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Ammar Abdullatif<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The #USAID conducted an assessment of the architectural construction sectors in #NE_Syria to study the reality of this sector and its needs. #Raqqa #ISIS #AANES #SDF  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":68560,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[4,39,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-68559","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economy","category-home","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
