{"id":67792,"date":"2021-11-17T08:06:46","date_gmt":"2021-11-17T08:06:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=67792"},"modified":"2021-11-17T08:07:04","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T08:07:04","slug":"israel-launches-airstrikes-on-damascus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/67792\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel launches airstrikes on Damascus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>In the early morning of Wednesday, Israel carried out few airstrikes on the Syrian capital, Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SANA, Syrian state-run news agency, announced Israel fired two missiles from the direction of the Syrian Golan Heights targeting an empty building south of Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the missiles was downed and no casualties were reported, according to SANA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Israel has yet to acknowledge the assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same context, drones targeted Iranian-backed militias positions yesterday, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Checking maneuvers capabilities the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducing yesterday, the Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel will continue confronting Iran on all fronts, including the north vast area comprising Lebanon and Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria over the past few years targeting what it says Iranian-backed militias strongholds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel rarely acknowledges or comments on carrying out airstrikes inside Syria but it always repeats it will confront Iran attempts to establish permanent military presence inside Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Mousa Haydar<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 In the early morning of Wednesday, Israel carried out few airstrikes on the Syrian capital, Damascus.
