{"id":67750,"date":"2021-11-16T08:55:59","date_gmt":"2021-11-16T08:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=67750"},"modified":"2021-11-16T08:56:15","modified_gmt":"2021-11-16T08:56:15","slug":"drones-target-iranian-held-areas-in-syrias-deir-ez-zor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/67750\/","title":{"rendered":"Drones target Iranian-held areas in Syria\u2019s Deir ez-Zor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>Unidentified drones targeted, yesterday, areas held by Iran-backed factions in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the early hours of the morning, sound of explosions were heard in the city of al-Bukamal, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, near the Iraqi border, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two unidentified drones flew over al-Bukamal city held by Iranian-backed factions in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to the Observatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This attack came a few days after replacing Iranian-backed militias\u2019 flags with the internationally recognized Syrian ones on some posts and military headquarters of these militias in al-Bukamal city for fear of expected attacks, according to the Observatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/67447\/\">On November 10<\/a>, At least seven Iranian-backed militants were killed due to unknown drone attack that targeted sites and weapons\u2019 depots belonging to Iranian factions in al-Bukamal, near the Syrian-Iraqi border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The attacks destroyed the arms and ammunition warehouses and caused huge explosions that reverberated to Baghouz, according to SOHR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the eruption of the events in Syria in 2011, Iran has officially announced its support to the Syrian government and sent its militias to support government forces in their war against factions of the Syrian opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran supported and formed military factions, which are working to fulfill Iran\u2019s ambition in Syria, the most prominent of these factions are National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwa Fatemiyoun, Hashemiyoun and Liwa Zainebiyoun. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran continues the process of recruiting Syrian militants within the ranks of factions affiliated with it through attracting them by offers, and extorting the deteriorating economic conditions that Syria is witnessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are about&nbsp;30 recruiting centers deploying in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, west of the Euphrates River, most of them were houses belonging to residents that were seized by Iranian-backed factions under the pretext that their owners are residing in areas held by either Syrian Democratic Forces or opposition factions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Syrian Observatory for Human Rights<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 Unidentified drones targeted, yesterday, areas held by Iran-backed factions in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
