{"id":66722,"date":"2021-10-25T17:03:36","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T17:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=66722"},"modified":"2021-10-25T17:03:37","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T17:03:37","slug":"alleged-israeli-jet-targets-hezbollah-in-syrias-south","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/66722\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged Israeli jet targets Hezbollah in Syria\u2019s south"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Monday, an aircraft, believed to be Israeli, targeted military posts of Syrian government forces on the outskirts of the city of al-Ba\u2019ath in the governorate of Quneitra, south Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Israeli aircraft targeted, on Monday, the building of finance in al-Ba\u2019ath city and Tel Krum Khan region with two airstrikes, press outlets said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The targeted areas are monitoring and observance bases of the Lebanese Hezbollah, according to press outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the aircraft targeted Brigade 90 of the Syrian government forces with a third airstrike, according to local media outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airstrikes, which are said to be Israeli, were launched two days after a meeting brought together Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, and Russian President, Vladimir Putin, in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Putin asked Bennett to be careful during airstrikes carried out in Syria in order to prevent attacks on Russian soldiers, Israeli army radio reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israeli PM, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/66606\/\">Bennett and Putin<\/a> discussed during the meeting in Sochi on Friday the Syrian issue, Iranian military presence, and coordinating Israeli practices in Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria over the course of the country\u2019s civil war, targeting what it says are suspected arms shipments believed to be bound for Lebanon\u2019s Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group, which is fighting alongside Syrian government forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On October 8, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/65801\/\">Israeli jets targeted Syria&#8217;s T4 Military Airport<\/a> in Homs with missiles coinciding with two huge explosions that shook Al-Bukamal near Syrian-Iraqi border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its annual report, Israeli army said that, during 2020, it targeted about 50 points in Syria, mentioning no details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During 2020, Israel announced that it conducted 39 airstrikes against points of Iranian militias in Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Mousa Haydar<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#Israel warplanes launched airstrikes on sites south #Syria. #Hezbollah #Lebanon  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":66723,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-66722","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
